long years ago, there was a farmer whose name was Lutawan prasad chaurasia. he lived in the village babhani which is nearby devrahi temple. while farming in his fields once he found a murti of devrahi mata he came back to home and discuss this with his wife as his wife was very religious so she said we should use this land as temple and we should place this statue of devrahi mata on our land, they did the same, all the villagers started worship there,,,the present structure of devrahi temple is built by shri pavhari maharaj, who at that time started a work of rebuilding all small temples. He had built two temples in deoria one is devrahi mandir and other is in baikunthpur temple,,,,,
